This is a deep cut into Joe lore. Sidewinder is a custom Cobra officer I made based on a background character in a single panel in GI Joe #1, which I have included for reference. He's a bald officer who is present when CC and Baroness are interrogating Dr. Burkhart. The appearance of his uniform is clearly modeled on Cobra Commander's action figure, so that plus the coloration made the choice of the base figure (Hooded CC) obvious. Even though we can't see the right side of his face in the comic, in my mind he's always had a monocle (much more evil that way), so that led to the Dr. Mindbender head, since it's already bald. After taking the moustache off of the Mindbender head, I found I had to trim down the mouth and chin area because it stuck out quite a bit. So I had to sculpt a new mouth as well.
