The guys of PHX Customs and I decided to add Joe Colton Sr to our Resurgence Adventure Team project late. Our initial idea was to have Joe Colton Jr lead the team from the start. However, after putting together the epilogue for Resurgence: Redemption, including JC senior made sense. I volunteered to make the custom.

While I was re-organizing my customs a while back, I rediscovered my GI Joe custom that I made for my Battle Corps Month in 2013. I still liked it, but it had pretty much been replaced in my collection by my 50th anniversary 1960's style customs. To give it a second life, I swapped out the head, added the holster and refreshed the paint. That gave the figure the mix of old and new that I wanted for this project.
