Landmine became interested in things that go boom at an early age after nearly blowing his hand off attempting to dissect a twelve-gauge shotgun shell. After basic, he joined the Army Corps of Engineers, and eventually found a contractor job in a DOD think tank developing new types of explosive devices. Much of that work was sold off to MARS, which then found its way into the hands of Cobra. Landmine joined the Joe team where he now disarms the very weapons he developed.
"Every Joe takes their role within the team very seriously, but Landmine takes it downright personally. Knowing those snakes are using weapons he created against his own people gnaws at his gut every waking moment. The only relief he finds is when he's able to disarm those weapons, and he won't rest until everyone of them is rendered inert."
