Character:

Cobra Mortal (the red/black/silver one) was an early 80's Argentinian repaint of Snake-Eyes.

Design:

On the original figure, Plastirama was making do with what it had. But having the silver/armored parts in a different texture was the concept behind this custom. The quilted textures on the Crazy Legs/Psyche Out/Fast Draw parts having slightly different shapes, but they're close enough to create continuity for the armored parts. The bare Torch arm might have been better with an arm that had fabric sculpted on it, but the shape of the glove/hand was a great match for the Psyche Out one.

Colors & Paint:

Based on the Plastirama figure, with some changes to better fit the parts. The un-quilted lower left arm also provided a good spot to drop in some black, which balances out the black of the lower right leg.

The silver is acrylic silver, but dabbed with a Molotov Chrome brush in the area wide enough to get the nub on. Because the Molotov Chrome is basically ruined when it's touched, I had to add it after the figure was assembled.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The elbow rivets and thigh screw insets are epoxied smooth. The neckball was glued to the kibble to create the neck.
