In the age of covid I have been playing a lot D&D with some friends. Scheduling isn't always easy between us so we came up with a round robin style session where any of us could run a game or multi-session campaign. Learning to be a game master has helped us become better players. One of the best things has been trying out new characters or classes so we learn their capabilities better.

One of the things a Druid can do is Wild Shape into different animals. As you level up the character, they have access to bigger/more dangerous animals. One the species introduced in the game is a Warforged, think a Terminators built in a universe where magic exists for a World War that ended but a Game of Thrones-like Cold War is ongoing. That got me thinking, if a Warforged Wild Shaped, could it transform into more a Beast Wars type robotic animal, keeping in mind that there is also a bit of steampunk clockwork animatronics going on in D&D too. I'm far from the first person to do it, but I loved the idea and ran with it. A nature based magical transformer? GAME ON
