After a three day liberty in Thule, Greenland nobody was surprised to see Shipwreck come back smiling. Little did they know it wasn't actually Shipwreck coming back on board the U.S.S. Flagg, it was his Crystal Army Replicant. The Real Shipwreck and his sidekick Polly were captured by the Crystal Army after closing down the local watering hole.

Using recently obtained Venomization Technology and genetic modification techniques that the Kaminoians "shared" with the Crystal Army, a person's memories are erased and they are given the abilities all Crystal Balls share in addition to their own. The Ballified person then joins the ranks of the Crystal Army as a Crystal Ball "Replicant" of that person replaces them in the real world.

Shipwreck was a target of opportunity; the Crystal Army couldn't resist getting an operative on board of the U.S.S. Flagg. Crystal Wreck and Bally have also proved to be an excellent addition to the Crystal Army. Without their "unique" personalities this duo has been extremely effective at implementing a naval wing in the Crystal Army.
