Vypra joined Cobra looking for excitement. After being in Cobra for some time she became bored with this new life also. In her time as a Cobra she had seen Firefly a few times coming and going. Always attracted to the wrong guys she couldn't help the attraction she had to the mysterious man in the mask. She learned what she could about him, which wasn't much. When Firefly learned of this woman asking around about him he decided to take care of it. He originally planned on killing her but after meeting her and talking to her he had a new found use for her. He told her of Firefly Inc. and asked her if she would like to work for him. She agreed and now she works for Firefly Inc. unbeknownst to Cobra Commander. Cobra Commander thinks she is still only his personal driver so she overhears great amounts of top secret information that she relays to her new boss, Firefly.
