Since his early days as a civilian aircraft pilot, the arrogant and bad attitudes were his registered trademarks.

If he was in an old airplanes show or competition, the last part of his presentation was always a low flight over the crowd, so close to people's heads, that everybody using a hat should hold it tight or lost it in the middle of the dark and stinky smoke left behind by his dark blue biplane. Many people start screaming thinking the plane has crashed and they were all dead.

This maneuver was known as "Death From Above". The first prize was always rightfully for him, but his greater joy was to see all the people with smoke, dust and tears in their eyes.
