Profile:

You might say that flying is in Skystriker's blood. He grew up on an Air Force base in Maryland where his father was in charge of flight operations. Fascinated with fighter jets, Skystriker decided to make a career for himself in the Air Force. Upon graduation from the United States Air Force Academy, he went to Officer's Flight Training School to become a pilot. After he received his "wings", Skystriker flew X-30 Fighters during several G.I. Joe attacks on Cobra Island. He shot down over 15 Cobra Mamba copters, severely crippling Cobra Island's defenses. Skystriker was then given the A-10 Thunderbolt Jet because of his fearless attitude in the face of danger.

Personal comments:

This character is a total duplicate of the Tiger Force Pilot with the same name, just new colors.
I don't like Tiger Force. To be frank: I despise them! I have from the moment I first heard of them - mostly because I think it was cheap of Hasbro to release old figures with new stupid-looking colors in a totally worthless sub-group - and I especially hated the fact that Cobra Vehicles were used as equipment in this line. I feel that the Cobra vehicles are unique and it would be wrong for the Joe's to use them for their cause... It is like confessing that some enemy equipment is more efficient then theirs - therefore I do not want to see them in the Joe-lines. But I do not have any problems with the other way around.

The A-10 Thunderbolt Jet from '97 is the only repainted Cobra vehicle that I can accept as the Thunderbolt planes has existed for real in friendly Air Forces - but I missed a pilot for it. And as I don't mind new characters, I simply duplicated the Skystriker figure and gave it better colors since I couldn't find a loose figure outside the Tiger Rat vehicle. And I find it quite fitting that I put Skystriker in the A-10 Thunderbolt Jet, since that was originally the idea with the Tiger Rat toy set.

To everybody who does like Tiger Force: No offence meant. This is written with my personal feelings, but if you like them, then that is all within your personal rights. I won't say anything about it.
