I wanted a punk look for Zanya. I never really liked the dreadlocks on her so the Covergirl head worked great for my vision of her.

Being the daughter of the head of one of the largest gangs in the world has certain advantages. Named heir to The Dreadnoks, Zanya was preparing herself to lead the group when Zartan fell further into his schizophrenia. When Zandar took his brother into hiding to deal with the sickness, Zarana stepped up to lead. Knowing the leadership was promised to her Zanya stepped up to face Zarana. Zarana's followers quickly surrounded her and pushed Zanya away. Zanya backed off and took several of her loyal friends, Machete, Death Metal, and Heartwrencher, with her. After the events following Gnawgahyde's return Buzzer and his clique faced off against Zarana and The Dreadnoks fell further into disarray.

After hearing of this Dreadnok Civil War, Billy contacted Zanya. He promised her a place in Springfield to rebuild The Dreadnoks in her own way. She agreed to help him take down Cobra and has become one of his best assets. A sure shot with the crossbow and a natural at disguises she has quickly become a natural for finding out information with force or without. Billy couldn't be happier with Zanya's abilities and her loyalty to his cause has proved much better than her father's loyalty ever was to Cobra Commander's fight.

And Zanya couldn't be happier either. Her friends have started combing the world, finding new Dreadnok recruits that will be ready when Zanya is able to setup her new organization. Billy's newest associate, a punk ninja named Tiger Claw, has caught her eye and the two of them have become very close. She is certain when the fight with Cobra is over and she has setup the new Dreadnok compound on the island of Springfield that they can then turn their attention to destroying Zarana and her faction of 'noks.
