When the new sculpts came out I saw the Cobra C.L.A.W.S as being another part of the Crimson Guard forces. Just more heavily armed. If the Cobra C.L.A.W.S. are in the Crimson Guard then this would be there Python Patrol counterparts.

I use the Python Patrol as Cobra Communication Specialists (only Tele-Vipers I have). The rest of the Pythons are vipers which relay messages to other vipers and troopers in the battlefield.

The Python C.L.A.W.S. take on the same role as the regular C.L.A.W.S. but guard the comms network instead of guarding head officers and field commanders.
