Head: 2004 Comic Pack Hawk
Torso and waist: 1984 Recondo
Arms: 1986 Leatherneck
Legs: 1983 Airborne

This was the first Hawk head that Hasbro gave us that truly resembled the character. However, it was molded using the very translucent, milky plastic that really didn't do the sculpting any justice.

I repainted the flesh a darker tone and made the hair a more subtle yellow. With a solid flesh tone, the work the sculptor put into the head becomes much more evident. The heavy shadows of the photo help to show the detail of the face, which was ignored by most collectors because of Hasbro's bad plastic selection.

Like most of the comic pack versions of the original character, Hawk's neck is somewhat short and looks awkward on the original turtleneck/commando sweater torso. I used the Recondo torso to minimize the short neck. It also matches up with Hawk's appearances from around Marvel issues 25-27, where he's mostly seen around the Pitt.
