This figure is based on Serpentor's first appearance in the Marvel run of GI JOE, specifically issues 49 and 50. The comic pack figure that Hasbro made of Serpentor was cool, it did give us a removable helmet, but I've always wanted the more warrior-looking Serpentor, the one leading the troops on the frontline.

Like some of my other customs, this is a version I've always wanted and didn't know if Hasbro would ever get around to doing, so I made it!
