Name: Carla W. Greer

Carla Greer was a military medical researcher/ technician in the U.S. Army Medical Command during a crisis when Cobra hit the world with a biological weapon, which affected many of the G.I.Joe personal with terminal illness and rendered them unfit to fight. To save them, Captain Greer convinced her superior officers to field-test a highly experimental immune-system stimulant that her research had helped to develop. The Joes were cured, and the biological compound manufactured by Cobra was eliminated. But the former victims were so impressed with Captain Greer's performance that they, especially Scarlett, insisted that Carla Greer was to be recruited to the G.I.Joe-team.

There has been many times afterwards that the commanding officers of G.I.Joe have been speculating on if it wasn't a mistake to bring the new 'Doc' into the team. Carla Greer has many times been caught in modes where she lacks faith in herself, and she has seen so much death and sickness in the world that she is often being caught in very depressive modes.

Fortunately, the holy oath that she once swore, her urge to save lives, have always brought her out of those states when it is required of her. She is very competent in the field, and her expertise has saved the world from many disasters.

Personal Comments:

Doc Carla Greer is the second character I brought out from the G.I.Joe Reloaded mini-series. I like her mostly because she is the most human person I have so far seen in the comics, and I think it is a shame that she was not given a chance in the regular story line as a replacement for the Doc that was killed by the SAW-Viper.

The best part with this figure is that I could use the head of that first (and ugly) new mold of Baroness to match her likeness. That's a tough part to get rid of.
