In Wild Weasel's first comic book appearance, he did not wear his familiar, all-red flight suit that he is now associated with. Instead he was wearing a red and blue suit, which changed to just red later on, matching the figure. Maybe the comic team got a black and white shot of the figure and made a guess at a color scheme...who knows?
