Zartan was the mastermind behind the Dreadnoks. Able to assume the identity of any person he came in contact with, he used this ability for criminal ways. But little did he know that his constant identity switches were making his childhood case of schizophrenia worse.

He hid his history of schizophrenia from all of his associates with only his brother Zandar and sister Zarana knowing the truth. Now after years of battling the disease, his mind has finally deteriorated. Zandar quickly took his brother into hiding while he tries to find a cure. Now a new identity emerges from Zartan's mind on a daily basis. And to make things worse, each personality seems to have their own quirks. One thinks the sun is bad and swears that his skin turns blue when exposed to sunlight so Zartan wraps himself with a trenchcoat to shield his skin. Another believes that a respirator pumping a mixture of oxygen and medicine into his lungs is the only way to stay alive. While yet another believes that he must wear a magical amulet to ward off the evil demons that come to eat his soul. Needless to say Zandar has his hands full tending to all of these people coming from one man's broken mind.
