After being kicked out of the NFL for unnecessary roughness, Red Dog went out on his own. After joining a few gangs, he thought that being in a gang was the best thing to do.

After he saw SGT Slaughter, he realized that if he wanted to prove himself, the best way to do that was join SGT Slaughter and be part of the Renegades.

After teaming up with Mercer and Taurus, he realized that even though there are times one likes doing things alone, there are two others that will always be there to lend a hand.
