After "dropping off the radar", so to speak, since the disbandment of the G.I. Joe Team and Cobra's disappearance in 1995, Storm Shadow headed for a remote mountain in the United States to train his new apprentice, Tiger Claw. After living in peace for over a decade, Cobra Commander hired the Night Creepers to take out every former member that had betrayed the cause, Storm Shadow included. But Storm Shadow managed to evade the assassination and get all the information he needed from the assassin, including the Commander's true intentions. Realizing the threat of, Storm Shadow returned to G.I. Joe with Tiger Claw at his side, to take out the new B.A.T. facility in South America...
