Head: Star Wars Comic Pack Dark Woman
Body, belt and pistol: G.I. Joe 25th Lady Jaye
Dragunov rifle: Marauder's Gun-Runners

This is my first custom figure since I was a kid. I like the new Joe articulation a lot, and have been collecting the line since late 2007. I recently picked up a couple of loose figures from eBay, and decided to start making some of my own.

I decided to start with the Oktober Guard. They were one of my favorite sub-groups from the comic, and the artwork Michael Golden did for Yearbook #2 was spectacular. He's still one of the greatest comic artists ever. The group picture of the Guard on the back cover was what I used as a template.

To start, I realized how much more difficult it is to dismantle the new-style Joes. I wanted to use Scarlett's lower legs, but she doesn't have a knee-joint, so I couldn't. I'd also like to replace Lady Jaye's forearms, since her wrists don't move, but there aren't many females to pick from with this new line. Maybe in the future. I'm moderately happy with the paint job - I'd ave liked for it to be a bit lighter, but oh well. In the future I may detail the rifle, but for now I'm on to my next Guard member.
