Raised in South Dakotan farming community with verry little to do other than chores, he enlisted in the Navy after graduating high school, hoping for excitement and warmer temperatures. After basic training, he was stationed aboard the USS Excelsior. An outstanding personal record and several comindations from his captain resulted in his induction onto the G.I. Joe team and a transfer onboard the USS FLAGG. Qalified expert in use of Whirlwind cannon and standard Warsaw pact anti-aircraft weapons.
