Shark was one of 14 children. Shark grew up in abject poverty. He had a violent childhood, and sought out the military as a way out. He is moody, quixotic, and at times truculent, but at times sweet as a teddy bear. When he needs to, he can be what he needs to be: a cobra killer, unabashedly so.

Most, but not all of his operations are water based, as he is a deep sea operative.
