Guile is a special forces operative who was gunned down over Thailand, along with co-pilot, Charlie, both were imprisoned for a long period of time, escaped, but during the perilous journey back to freedom, Charlie was recaptured and whether he was killed by Major Bison, the details are hazy, either way Guile now lives with that haunting his dreams and is driven to revenge his friend's recapture and possible murder.
