All Crimson Guard '85

The Crimson Guard troopers are the elite shock troops of the Cobra legions. All "Siegie's" must hold a degree in either law or accounting as well as being in top physical condition. After rigorous training in Cobra combat and tactics, each is given his new assignment: a new life, in a new city. The "Siegie's" who manage to become the absolute best in their training is invited to become a member of the "Fred-Series", who are Cobra Commander's personal guards and personnel.

The condition to join the "Fred-Series" requires each "Siegie" to undergo plastic surgery so that each trooper will look similar. That means that they all have to give up their past and old life-style to completely serve Cobra. But the desired wealth and privileges that comes with the Fred-clones group makes up for that sacrifice.

Crimson Guards are too precious to be wasted on the conventional battlefield. While many of them are dispersed about the country in deep cover, assuming apparently normal appearances and life-styles, others work to become valued members of the community, to climb the political and corporate ladder into positions of importance.

From these positions, the "Siegie's" can secretly work to undermine the foundation of the network they're working in, and when the time is right, they will completely and legally place the network under Cobra's rule. Watch out. That friendly neighbor of yours who work as a vice director for a well-known company might just have a red uniform hanging in his closet.

Personal comments:

I admit that there's not much special about this figure. The point with it is the improved color decorations that I've given all of my Crimson Guard's. As it is, don't you find the first figure to look absolutely dull? It's very boring to look at, and I've never liked that that black faceplate. I've always liked the color that was printed in the Marvel-comics, it looks so much grandeur - and that's why I've adapted them to mine. A simple but great improvement. I have also adapted the profile a bit. There must well over a thousand of Crimson Guards in Cobra, and they can't all look alike.

It is bound to sooner or later rise suspicion by an innocent observer who travels a lot - and frankly: if one clone is identified as a "Siegie", then the Joes just have to look for anybody who look just like the one they've captured. It's quite stupid, so I preferred to limit the clone-part a bit to make it more believable.
