As the apprentice to Arashikage ninja and Cobra operative Storm Shadow, Shadow Strike has his own agenda. He infiltrated the Arashikage clan as an operative of Cobra Commander with the aim of first gaining knowledge of the ninja ways and second destroying the ancient clan from the inside out. His strength lies in his confidence as a fighter, as he feels he could take on any threat GI Joe or any faction throws at him, but that confidence is also his weakness; he does not play well with others, and will often abandon his team of Cobra ninjas to go "lone wolf", which inevitably leads to his defeat time and again.
