Head: Indiana Jones' Cate Blanchett as Irina Spalko
Torso, arms: 25A Scarlett (modified)
Legs: 25A Baroness (modified)

Design:

I thought I was done with Devil's Due characters, but somehow the characters of Lillian (and Alexander) never occurred to me. Yes, I will probably make an Alexander sometime as well.

As best I can remember, Lillian's appearance seemed to change slightly every time she was shown. As with Mayday, it was surprisingly difficult to google good reference images. The few I did find had her wearing a black (or maybe midnight blue?) bodysuit with metallic arm wraps.

The Scarlett and Baroness bodies combine well to make a bodysuit. The Indiana Jones' Cate Blanchett head has just enough determination in the face, along with an interesting haircut, to distinguish it from the existing 25A female Joe heads. The haircut is different from anything Lillian sported in the comics, but still seems in character with her.

Colors/painting:

Someone at Devil's Due came up with the black/silver/mustard/gold color combination, which is atrocious. I was very tempted to "mean up" the design a bit by replacing the silver with a gunmetal grey or at least put a dirty black wash on it. However, I opted to remain mostly faithful to the real color scheme- although I did make the mustard gloves a bit more brown than orange. I also added the mustard to the shin guard parts of the lower legs, mostly to balance the colors a bit.

Working with the silver spray paint was fun, but in a few spots it took fingerprint impressions as it takes forever to dry (and I forgot about that).

It's not too obvious in the photos, but the black of the hair and the bodysuit aren't the same. The bodysuit is regular black under a clear coat. The hair is actually black then coated with a thin layer of metallic sequin black.

Sculpting/modifying:

Scarlett's shoulder padding was removed and replaced with different strap work. The strapping goes across the shoulder blades and under the Iron Grenadiers metal shoulder plating on the opposite shoulder. The cargo pouches were added to the legs to take away from the Baroness' distinctive look.

The crotch was adjusted at the leg sockets to allow for better movement.

The metal arm bands are simply narrow strips of masking tape wound very tightly around the arms. Very simple, but very effective.

Thanks for looking.
