As far as I can remember (anybody please feel free to correct me), the original Action Force never had a named C-I-C; thus, I though it might be fun to have an equivalent to Generals Flagg, Austin and Abernathy, so I took the character of Colonel Trent from the Marvel UK Action Force comic. In that comic, Trent commanded the European branch of Action Force, staffed by such luminaries as Flint, Footloose, Lady Jaye and Dusty. He appeared in the first issue of the weekly and continued in this capacity until the second issue of the monthly, where he was rather shockingly killed by Monkeywrench. Although I don't consider the Marvel UK comic to be part of my continuity (as far as I'm concerned, Flint and co are US-Joe characters only), it was a damned good comic, and so to honour it, I've transferred Colonel Trent from the command of one version of Action Force to command of another. The figure's non military design caused me a few problems, until I hit on the idea of using the open-neck Shipwreck shirt as a waistcoat and shirt look, painting the tie on. The coat was a moment of inspiration from my use of Star Wars figures in my customs.
