Storm Crow grew up with helicopters; his father owned a small fleet of them which he loaned out to local governments or surveyors, as well as running tourist flights. Storm Crow grew up learning first how to fix them, then how to fly them.

His decision to join the Air Force right out of high school was prompted by his love of flying copters, and his desire to do more with them than just ferry tourists around. He did well enough to land a spot in the elite Night Stalkers, whom he served with through the Third World War. Pilot shortages during that same period also found him flying rescue ops missions into hot LZs, missions that earned him several medals for valor. Following the end of the war he retired as a CWO5 and went back home to run his father's business, now that the elder Bereman had chosen to retire as well.

Ferrying tourists got old fast; fortunately the Air Force was in desperate need of good pilots, and offered him a chance to return, and an officer status as well (under new guidelines following the war, experienced NCOs and Warrant Officers could be given officer status even if they didn't have a college degree). He accepted and spent two years training a new generation of pilots before returning to life in Special Operations. It was from there that he found himself on the Joe team.

"It's tempting to compare Storm Crow to either Wild Bill or Lift-Ticket, but he's neither, and yet he's both. No situation is too dangerous for him to handle; he'll fly in a hurricane or through a hail of AA to get you in or out, with smoke pouring out of the engine and the tail rotor so shot up it's a wonder he can steer--and call it fun."-Major Vincent "Falcon" Falcone

The inspiration for this figure is entirely owed to Night Force Cynic, who shared his Lift-Ticket custom with me; I loved his design so much I had to copy it. :-) The chief differences between his and mine (due to my lacking the same parts) are the torso and waist, and I used a different head because this one had the "look" I was after. Thanks for the inspiration, man!
