The Mortar Platoon is an integral part of every modern infantry unit. This is no different for Cobra, except that the Mortar-Viper can do the work of a crew of three. Using a servo-enhanced suit, the Mortar-Viper can carry his personal kit, tube and mortar bombs alone over impressive distances, compared to the average soldier. This allows him to be able to move away from the APC upon dismounting, thus dispersing troop concentration for survivability in the event of counter-battery fire, and allowing greater fire-and-movement. The integral helmet radio permits co-ordinated fire control and to receive ranging information from forward observers.

The servo-suit enhances strength and endurance but it does sacrifice speed somewhat. While initially not a problem, during a rapid advance the infantry troops can get pretty irritated when their indirect fire support can't keep up. Technology has its plusses and minusses, but you can bet that the Mortar-Viper's best friend is the Techno-Viper.
