Somewhere in the future, Booster Gold came to visit his sick Grandmother. His Grandmother was happy to see him and requested one thing, to find the other half of her pendant that her deceased husband used to wear. Booster Gold's grandmother believes it was merely lost in their ancestral home's attic, but Booster Gold believes his grandfather lost it during the war. His grandfather used to be a G.I. Joe. Booster Gold decided to go back to the present and ask the help of his best buddy, the Blue Beetle to help him find the pendant. Both decided to go back in time, before the war to find the missing half of the pendant. But they need a detective and a great infiltration specialist to help them. So, they went to the Bat Cave first to ask Batman for help, but Alfred said he's busy fighting Joker for like, the Nth time. Soon, Batgirl arrived and said she'll help them instead. The trio traveled back in time before G.I. Joe forces launches an attack in Cobra HQ. Inside the PIT, they met Booster Gold's grandfather and told him the entire story. The meeting was truly emotional. Booster Gold requested his grandfather not to join the assault because he'd never come back. But his grandfather declined Booster Gold's request and said that they should not alter history and there's no greater act than to die for his country. If he should die, he wanted to die a hero. Soon, the trio returned to the present time, and then Booster Gold went back to the future to see his grandmother. When Booster Gold's grandmother asked where she found half of the pendant, he said he found it in their ancestral home's attic, inside his grandfather's underwear drawer.
