I had recently started creating a number of custom figures to fill vital but not as exciting support roles including motor pool maintenance, quartermaster, and supply logistics. Bench-Press is a part of this group and serves as the team's Physical Training Instructor. His job is to keep every Joe at their peak physical form and always ready for combat.

The Hasbro release of Bench-Press was basically Rock n Roll...I am not sure why they went that route and I didn't care for it. When I was creating a new custom PT Instructor for my Joe team, I opted to call him Bench-Press, but that's the only commonality between him and the Hasbro character.
