As it turned out, my modifications to the Dusty arms, to try to fit the Microman hands didn't hold. I couldn't get the hands' pegs to stay in them. Plus, I finally came around to realize that Duke's head really still looked like Dukey-boy, despite my modifications. So, as they say, I went back to the drawing board.
I kept the bulk of the figure; for those mods, they are listed in the 'Ninja/Commando' Snake Eyes I listed before. What's new:
I chose Stalker' lower arms because I was lazy; they are mostly black already. I did give him traditional swivel wrists with the Chap Mei hands, giving Ol' Snake a set of nasty brass knuckles to add to his arsenal.
For the JOE-COM, I took the mini-computer off the old arm, and placed it on the 'clip' from one of Hasbro's JOE-COMs. Now, he can wear it or not. :)
I also sculpted a visor onto a Hacker facemask, to give him a more traditional look. I rechristened his paintball helmet a gas mask to give it some specific utility.
For the head, I went to Shippy. I've found that this head turns generic really easily with a new set of hair. This time, I scarred him pretty heavily too: the eye cut in particular is a legacy from his last fight with Storm Shadow in the Philly shipyard base.
The nice thing with this version is that I can flip him between 'old school' and 'new school' with little difficulty. :)
