Lt. Gorky knew from a very young age that he was going to be forced into the military as an officer. While attending military history courses at St. Petersburg University Lt. Gorky saw the pride of his predecessors and readily accepted his fate. He decided not to throw his hands in the air, but to take the challenge head on and be the best officer in the Soviet Army. This new determination got Lt. Gorky recognized while at St. Petersburg and he was selected to be a member of the Soviet Naval Infantry. After completing his initial training his first duty assignment was with the famous Black Sea Regiment as a assault watercraft pilot. Lt. Gorky does not know what failure is and will do anything on the battlefield to insure that he never knows what failure is.
