Stick Shift grew up in a family business of being mechanics. He joined the army and learned everything about the vehicles that were around the world. In G. I. Joe, if the Joes needed a vehicle Stick Shift would either hijack or still something, start it up, and get the team out quickly. Stick Shift is so good he could hijack anything, even a tank. He was sent to the Specialist Squad because they needed a driver and he is the best.
