I wanted to like this Special Missions Brazil themed Leatherneck. It actually looked almost kinda cool. I actually liked the use of the Buzzer torso except for that one glaring problem. Why would Leatherneck have that peice of metal plate jutting out from his left shoulder?

Furthermore, why would he have a belt buckle with a skull and crossbones on it?!

I looked up the original and the repaint on Yojoe.com. As soon as I noticed that the strap was running down the wrong side I knew that I could just dremel the armor plate off and then glue the strap down over it. I did just that.

Dremeled the thing out of existence, went over the shoulder and back with sand paper until it was polished and smooth. I then just flipped the entire belt around backwards and glued the strap at the shoulder, so it jutted out just a bit and hid the fact that the mold did not have the ribbed cuff sticking out like on his right side.

I shaved the excess plastic off of the knife sheath, glued that on, glued the viper grenades onto the chest and stomach, and also on the belt to balance out the color scheme and bulk of his gear little.

I decided to leave the grenades that apple green because it reminds me of his old deco. And the figure didn't really need any more black, brown or tan on him.

I left the grenades on his back for now, since he'll mostly be sitting in the A.W.E. Striker anyway. When I'm sure I won't need my other Viper Pilot's grenades for someone else; I'll probably shave these off and glue the same grenades on his back to match the front. For now I will just ignore the old ones.

I've found the Wild Weasel/Snow Job feet to be just a bit too big, I replaced them with comic pack Duke's here. I also eliminaited the awkward look of everyone's favorite forearms by using Shipwreck's hands. I'd rather he had the use of both hands, but until more parts come out he can stay with the fist.

I'm just glad he doesn't look like he raided Buzzer's wardrobe now.
