Red Star torso, 1991 Duke head, and I don't honestly recall who I used for the arms and legs

I should state right off that I created this figure years before Hasbro finally gave us the Oktober Guard in the excellent comic sets a few years ago.

I realized there were some Oktober Guard members that I could probably customize, and Stormavik was one of them. I used the Red Star torso, and different arms and legs, although to be honest, I don't recall whose.

The 1991 Duke head worked well, even if it seems like an odd choice for an Oktober Guard character. I took a little off the tip of that huge nose that figure came with, and painted the hair a sort of neutral color. Stormavik's hair was never that distinct. I think Hasbro did a smart thing when they did their figure, and just made him bald.

The beret was sculpted with modeling putty, and painted accordingly. The one thing I couldn't do was figure out a way to get that extensive ridged padding onto this figure, not in a way that would look good. Then again, neither did Hasbro, so I suppose we're even.

How do I think my Stormavik compares to Hasbro? I like my figure, but I think Hasbro did a better job with theirs. I especially like the headsculpt. Is it just me, or does it look a little like Gorbachev? This figure? Maybe he's a "Stormavik II", kept in reserve to deceive the enemy into thinking their soldiers can be in more than one place at a time... (I'm open to better suggestions).
