Alpine was a guy that always had the one liners on the cartoon. I can appreciate that aspect of his character a lot more now than I did when I was a kid. That being said, the Alpine figure that came out a year or two ago just was not doing it for me...that meant custom time. I decided to try to make a figure that resembled his look on the show. I made the rope out of candle wick (I can't remember who, or on what forum I read that suggestion, but thank you to whoever deserves it), instead of the molded plastic one that the last Alpine figure came with. I didn't see anything wrong with that rope, but I wanted something that looked a bit longer for the figure. I still want to make a pick axe for him and find or make something to look like carabiners.
