Head & lower legs: ARAH Lady Jaye
Arms: ARAH Barbeque
Chest/back: ARAH Jinx
Waist & upper legs: ARAH Cover Girl

Design:

While trying to part together an Ophelia custom, I stumbled onto this parts combination, which I really liked. I had originally used Scarlett arms, but finally used the more rumpled Barbecue arms to fit with the other parts better. This is the first time I've used male parts on a female figure. It works as the arms aren't too bulky and the shape of the baggy clothing works with the bloused trousers.

Once the parts were together I had to figure out what to do with them. Perhaps a character on a vehicle crew or a driver of some sort? The codename "Run-Flat" had been on my list of names to use, and this was the first time it felt right to apply to a figure. The name is taken from tires that self-fill after being punctured so that they can "run flat".

Colors and Painting:

The Lady Jaye head is easily one of the most iconic of the entire ARAH run. Disguising it as another character might have worked by simply changing the hair color to blonde, black, or red. I thought the easiest and most foolproof way was simply to change the flesh tone to brown and then the hat color to khaki. With that as the starting point, the uniform is also khaki with dusty brown gear.

The hair is black coated with metallic sequin black. Painting the face to appear to have eye makeup also helps to make the head look different from Lady Jaye.

Modifying and Sculpting:

The bottom of the upper legs were narrowed down just a bit to better fit the lower legs. The shoulder sockets were opened up a bit to accommodate the arms.

Thanks for looking.
