Lady Viper is the liason between HYDRA and its various nefarious internal and external partners. Internally, Viper's role is to keep A.I.M. (Weapons and R&D) under control and mutiny-free. Externally, Viper is the main peacekeeper between HYDRA and Cobra, an explosive relationship, to say the least. Both organizations have similar world domination goals, and often run into, and against, each other while executing their plans. Both organizations are relentless, neither are willing to negotiate, and both have been proven impossible for G.I. Joe to completely eradicate.

Recently, Madame HYDRA has been making diplomatic overtures to M.A.R.S., under the guise of furthing HYDRA's advanced weapons systems (but secretly trying to discover any A.I.M. subterfuge). Viper's 'negotiations' with Destro have not gone unnoticed by the Baroness...
