This custom is based on the ''Crimson Firefly'' released in the Valor vs Venom line in 2005. The original figure was included in a 6-pack with one of the Crimson twins and 4 Crimson Guards. That same year, I was just getting back into Joes and picked up these 6-packs along with a couple of ''Operation Crimson Sabotage'' sets. As such, this was my first Firefly since the 1984 original. Also, after 20 years, I finally had the Cobra Crimson army that I dreamed of as a kid. That left me with a few of these Fireflies.
