Brief History:

Even before the disbandment in 1994, Law had grown disenfranchised with his role on the most elite Special Ops teams in existence. Sure, security was a vital role, but guard duty only goes so far. When he was no longer required to serve, Law simply returned to the Army as if he had never been on the GI Joe team.

When he was asked to return to service, Law was reluctant. He didn't want another career babysitting a barbed-wire gate. When Law was informed of what his task would be - as a member of the DEF detachment - the opportunity to serve didn't seem so bad anymore.
