This version of Duke ties into my Alternate Timeframes GP premise of a circa 1995 world without G.I. Joe or Cobra. I tried to maintain the core attributes of the character -- experienced soldier recruited to train/lead an elite special mission force -- while tying in the black ops background added by Devil's Due and the overall modern-era comic book feel of the rest of my GP characters (look for them in August).
