This was my project for the '09 2-Weeks Challenge, which was to take an old character from the Joe mythos and do a Rise of Cobra version. I was going to do this to Hydro-Viper someday, as he's a poorly colored favorite of mine, so this was the motivation I needed to get started. The old pink color really didn't fit a "Demon of the Deep" so the ROC mostly black color scheme worked much better.

I used a wood chisel to (gently!) shave the breathing mask off of the old hard-plastic head and glued it to the nose/chin area of the Para-Viper head, which was much easier to shave away because of the softer plastic. A little black and silver paint and I'm very happy with the results, he fits right in with the rest of the ROC figures from this year!
