Clear Cylindrical doll box
Cardboard base
Chap Mei chinook rear door
3 Tomahawk seats with cardboard bases
Construction paper 'skin'

For a recent dio, there was no way to shoot a particular scene that was to occur inside the belly of a Tomahawk, there's barely room for the figures to sit with their legs flat in there.

I'd found the case that would become the centerpiece to my project a while back; the Astros gave out these large player/bobblehead/duck promotions at a Scouts day game we'd attended. I cut spaces out for the side entries, and then built up the set with a base and neutral-colored construction paper: one color for the outside, a second for the inside.

The base construction paper allows me an easy cut and paste in Corel to put whatever 'skin' I want on the set: The Tomahawk or a C-130 for instance. I left the top uncovered to allow for a top light (and the occasional bird's-eye picture). I've included a dio-image from my dio, to show the set in use.
