Most of the parts here come from the 2004 (or 2005) Ninja Battles Set. The Snake-Eyes heads are from Duke figures, the Storm Shadow heads (and the white Snake-Eyes body) comes from the "Storm Shadow Unmasked" figures.

The black Snake-Eyes figure comes from the Red Ninja torso and arms from the Ninja Battles set, and the legs and waist from a Firefly version 6.

The display is the Arashikage temple stand from the Ninja Battles set.

The Storm Shadow Unmasked gave me the inspiration to do this. I don't know if you can see it in the images, but I have an unscarred Snake Eyes, brother in arms to Storm Shadow, and I have the unmasked, disfigured Snake Eyes fighting the Cobra ninja. I thought there is a larger history between these two, and just having them duking it out all the time didn't seem right.


The main picture is a composite I put together using a photo background of Japan. I faded the two Arashikage uniformed characters to show they're the "ghosts of the past."

I've been doing custom "Star Wars" figures for a while, primarily making figures of my own fan fiction characters. I use almost exclusively GI Joe figures because of the wide range and fairly interchangeable parts. When I got my Storm Shadow Unmasked, I decided to take a shot and see if I could do something original with my two favorite Joe characters.
