Red Line was born into a world of gangs. The gang became the only family that mattered to him and soon he was the top runner of one of Los Angeles' most notorious gangs. He also loved to race motorcycles and he spent most of his weekends betting on his own races. After losing a few large bets, he caught the attention of Cobra. With not much of a future in the gangs and his recent money problems, Red Line didn't have much of choice.

Cobra saw his true potential as a Cobra Courier. They needed someone with his skills that could deliver whatever they needed with guaranteed results. Red Line received the best training Cobra had to offer passing every test they put him through. It wasn't long before he was delivering prototype weapons from Destro, new biological agents from Dr. Mindbender, or demolition devices from Firefly.
