Whilst the rest of the world is beginning to pivot away from the F-22 and F-35 programs in favor of the F-15SE Silent Eagle variant, the GI Joe team has taken a different tack and opted for the redevelopment of its original air superiority fighter: the Skystriker!"

Unfortunately, a number of other ideas I had for this group project did not come together in time for submission - nonetheless, the theme would have played off the ongoing debate as to whether or not stealth jets have become obsolete by quantum and passive radar, as well as criticisms of the F-35 Lightning II program. The idea was that the Joes were therefore returning to and upgrading older 4th generation airframes - similar to the development of the F-15SE Silent Eagle.

From a personal standpoint, I really like the Kid Connection Military Plane toy - it's very cartoony in look. Originally I was reluctant to paint the entire body, because I was concerned about paint peeling with masking tape when it became necessary to paint other parts of the jet a different color e.g. nose, tailfins. Thankfully, the paint finally did come together rather nicely, and I applied the Gundam Real Touch marker and the stickers with an enormous amount of care.
