Dr MarsRover was created to scout out alien territory. When it came time to install the operating system and AI package, Dr Mindbender felt that there was no substitute for his own intellect, and inserted the head of a clone of himself into the unit. This way he is able to accomplish the mission, but also ensure that only the intel that he wants to get back to Cobra does so. The rest he hordes away for his own unknown purposes.

This has gone through several incarnations before I found a body that worked for me. Luckily, no one pays attention to the 'garbage' they leave lying around at work when they are rebuilding the cubicles. The network outlet really sold this for me, and I enjoyed using so much junk to make a custom I am proud of.
