For Snake Eyes, a.k.a. Famine, I really wanted to take the character in a different direction without making him unrecognizable. I've always thought Deadpool was sort of the anti-Snake Eyes, being equally deadly in almost all the same ways but radically different in that he can't seem to shut up. I borrowed that concept for Famine (so named for his insatiable bloodlust) but stopped short of making the character outright looney crazy. Rather, he is supremely arrogant and narcissistic (to the point where a mere scratch on his face led him to betray his country and his comrades) and feels the need to constantly remind his opponents how hopelessly outmatched they are with both his words and his deeds.

The base for Famine is a Microman Material Force Black figure. I added a modified head (cut and drilled) from a SpyTroops Scalpel figure and feet (again cut and drilled) from a SpyTroops Snake Eyes. I also gave the head sunglasses to simulate the look of Snake Eyes' rubber mask (which I always assumed was of his actual face) from the comics. Silver paint was required for the feet and the belt (stolen from a VvV Baroness) as well as some details on the sword sheath/bandolier (the hardest thing to make on this custom, involving the merging of a web belt from a Burn Out figure and a standard backpack sheath) and the grenade belt on the leg (cut from JvC Dusty's web gear).

In addition to the trademark Uzi and sword, I gave Famine a dagger and an alternate head (cut and drilled from a VvV Snake Eyes), just in case I want to use the figure as he would appear in standard Joe continuity (see last pic).
