When I drew the pieces, a lot of guys said I had an easy one that you can do another General Hawk with him. I looked beyond the typical with this and went for something more creative. I knew I wanted to do something with the backpack being communications. I was thinking Breaker, but came up with a twist on Sparks. Make him the main communications officer that was out in the field, but also make him able to back himself up with heavy firepower.

First thing I did was sand off the bracelets on the arms. Then I did the same to the fur on the jacket collar and dremeled out the holster on his leg. I greenstuffed the bottom of his jacket to make it look like a shirt and fixed his holster. I then came up with the idea for the helmet. I wanted it to have a cool headset built onto it with the original helmet. I took a JvC Wetsuit mask, cut it up and glued it in place and blended it in with the helmet. I cut the light section off and fixed it to the top of the helmet. I used floral wire to make the antennas. The leftover straps from the mask I made his watch from.



The backpack, I didn't do much to. I cut the teeny tiny antenna off, then cut the back end of the 25th anni Lady Jaye speargun off and glued it on in place of it. Dremeled a tab in the side to put the spare ammo box in, and holes in the bottom of the pack to fix the claymore into. Most of the figure, except bare arms and head, I sprayed with Krylon Fusion Olive Drab. Then I went over it with the detail work. I copied a typical camo pattern for the pants.



I was very pleased with the custom. Totally went away from what someone would think. The helmet I extremely love. After I put it together, I looked at it and thought if it was blue and silver it would be Optimus Prime's head. I was going to work that into his bio but decided not to. HA
