Leon "Mapman" Jackson earned himself then nickname "Mapman" back in high school while playing football. The football field was like a map to him and he was able to navigate himself and his team to state championship two years in a row. While it seemed football glory was the future for the "Mapman" it shocked everyone in his town when rather that accepting a football scholarship, "Mapman" accepted a scholarship from the University of New Hampshire to study Archaeological Survey and Mapping. While there he studied abroad, receiving, hands-on training in field reconnaissance, survey and mapping of ancient Maya archaeological sites in Belize. Upon graduation he was approached by the U. S. Army to continue his work in South America. While there he had the opportunity to work alongside of G.I Joe Operatives Redmack, Shimik, and Topson. Upon Completion of the mission he was formally asked to join the team by General Hawk.

For this custom I wanted to create Bronze Bomber figures as if they had been built by Hasbro. I tried to use as many ARAH parts as possible in order to make it feel as if it was part of an actual GI Joe Product line. I used Testor's Model Masters Acrylics and tried to keep the paint scheme as close to the original as possible. The parts that were selected were chosen also because they closely resembled the parts of the original knock off figure.
